This role is also responsible for detail cleaning projects that sustain the long-term use of the guestroom furniture, fixtures and equipment.Duties & Responsibilities:Pull all dirty linen from guestroom (including sheets, pillowcases, stained blankets, stained bedspreads, stained mattress pads) and send to laundryEmpty all trash receptacles, clean container and install trash bagDust all windowsills, clean glass and window tracksCheck behind all furniture for trash and debrisCheck inside all furniture drawers for trash and debrisClean around each bed baseDust television (rotate side-to-side) and check to ensure remotes are workingClean all mirrorsWipe all pictures (glass and frames)Clean desk area if applicable and ensure proper placement of collateral.Remove any marks from walls.Clean telephone and tuck cords behind night-standCheck telephone to ensure it is workingIf applicable, clean radio and alarm clock and ensure the correct time and set to easy listening station (alarm off)Clean all lighting fixtures and adjust lamp shades (seams against the wall)Ensure all lights are workingClean entire vanity and surrounding wallsIf applicable, clean hair drier and ensure proper placementClean ice bucket (remove liner and wipe away any moisture) and install clear bagDust vanity lightDust closet area and ensure correct number of hangersClean ironing board, empty water from iron, and wrap cord around baseClean and disinfect bathroom area. Dust baseboardsDry shower curtains. Replace if damaged or mildewedReport any mildew issues to HK supervisor.Clean and dry tub surrounds. Clean soap dish.Vacuum carpeting and bathroom floor. Cut any snags.Deodorize roomBefore exiting room, look to see if the room is fresh, clean and presents the best image for the hotel.Any excessive trash, pets, damage, etc. should immediately be brought to the attention of the HK supervisorNotify HK supervisor of all lost and found itemsBring all dirty rags to laundryEnsure spray bottles are labeled correctly (foam nozzle on disinfectant)Keep carts, supplies and vacuums neat and organizedKeep HK closet neat and doors shutComplete work order requests for maintenance on a daily and timely basis.Other Responsibilities:Assist as necessary with special projects and renovations.Report any unsafe conditions to leadership.Provide assistance to other employees and departments to contribute to the best overall performance of the department and hotel.Provide training to new property level support as needed.Other duties as assigned.You are:Committed to excellenceCulture drivenTransparentPassionateCourageousIntentionalAuthenticCompetitiveCreativeDynamicNimbleEngagingFunDetail OrientedYou have:Proven experience as room attendant with a keen sense of attention to detailBasic understanding of cleanliness standards and chemical maintenanceKnowledge of general cleaning processes and methodsWorking knowledge of tools, common appliances and devicesManual dexterity and problem-solving skillsGood physical condition and strength with a willingness to work overtimeAbility to lift and move a minimum of 30 poundsAbility to climb stairs 30% of the timeAbility to push and pull a minimum of 30 poundsHigh school diploma or equivalentNote this job description is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties, responsibilities or qualifications associated with the position.
