Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Full-Time | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | 12-Hour Shifts | 36 Hours per Week Guaranteed | Every Other Weekend Required | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 36-bed Cardiac IMCU/PCU Stepdown unit at a Level II Trauma facility
• Monitor and manage cardiac patients including those requiring telemetry monitoring, cardiac drips, and chest tube care
• Care for a diverse patient population including pre- and post-operative cardiac surgery, stroke/TIA, CHF, pacemakers, heart blocks, and vascular conditions
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:5–6 for cardiac patients and 1:3–4 for PCU/stepdown patients
• Utilize Cerner EHR for accurate and timely documentation
• Float to other units as required and respond to call needs when census is low

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license with a minimum of 1 year of PCU or stepdown experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
• Demonstrated experience with cardiac patient populations, cardiac monitoring, cardiac drips, and chest tubes
• Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher required
• Must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to qualify as a travel candidate
• Strong teamwork skills and ability to thrive in a collaborative environment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience with PCU/stepdown patient populations in a travel or high-acuity setting
• Low-level ICU skills and familiarity with step-down level care transitions
• Proficiency with Cerner electronic health records
