As our Payroll Specialist, you'll help ensure more than 800 team members are paid accurately, on time, and in compliance with payroll requirements. This is an in-office position located in Appleton, Wisconsin.

DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Import/manage the integration of the timekeeping system into UKG payroll.
• Set up wage assignments and garnishments.
• Serve as the in-house expert for UKG payroll and related systems.
• Direct deposit and pay card administration.
• Troubleshoot any issues with payroll integrations, including 401K and HSA.
• Provide data/prepare payroll information for cost-plus contracts.
• Coordination with human resources in establishing and maintaining earnings and deduction codes.
• Potentially other support functions within the Home Office.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• Attention to detail.
• Strong organizational skills, including the ability to manage time-sensitive tasks.
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
• Ability to communicate with employees, operational personnel, and third-party payment service.
• Solid computer skills, including working knowledge of spreadsheets and MS Office.
• Ability to work as part of a team toward shared objectives.

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in an accounting environment.
• Familiar with payroll requirements and time-sensitive work.
• Associate's Degree preferred.

PHYSICAL CAPABILITIES AND REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
• Ability to use hands and fingers for computer keyboarding and answering phone calls.
• Ability to communicate via the telephone using speaking and hearing skills.
