The Role
The Dishwasher is a foundational part of our culinary team. You will be responsible for ensuring that all dishes, glassware, cookware, and kitchen utensils are clean, sanitized, and ready for action. You will work side-by-side with our line cooks and management team to keep the kitchen organized, safe, and efficient during high-volume lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch services.
Key Responsibilities
Sanitation: Load, operate, and unload commercial dishwashing machinery; hand-wash larger pots, pans, and delicate kitchen tools.
Organization: Sort and store clean dishes, flatware, and cookware in their proper locations so the line stays fully stocked.
Kitchen Safety: Maintain a clean, organized, and dry dish pit area. Sweep and mop kitchen floors and wipe down prep surfaces regularly.
Waste Management: Empty kitchen trash, recycling, and compost bins safely and efficiently throughout the shift.
Team Support: Assist with unpacking food deliveries, organizing storage areas, and helping with light prep work as directed by the kitchen management team.
What We Are Looking For
Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, move quickly, and safely lift up to 50 lbs.
Speed & Efficiency: Ability to maintain a steady, urgent pace during busy dining rushes.
Reliability: A punctual professional who shows up ready to support the team.
Team Mindset: A positive attitude and willingness to jump in where needed.
Experience: Previous restaurant dishwashing experience is a plus, but we are fully prepared to train anyone with a strong work ethic and a desire to learn.
Availability: Flexibility to work a schedule that includes evenings, weekends, and holidays.
