Mobile Advance Wound Care Specialist

Position: Mobile Advanced Wound Care Specialist (PRN) Pay: $80.00 - $110.00 per visit (dependent on experience) At Healnexxt, we believe healthcare should be deeply connected, highly compassionate, and relentlessly thorough. As a mobile connected care organization, we bring advanced wound care directly to patients in their homes, assisted living facilities, rehabilitation centers, and other care settings throughout Florida. Position Summary The Mobile Advanced Wound Care Provider will assess, diagnose, and treat patients with acute and chronic wounds across multiple care settings including patient homes, assisted living facilities, skilled nursing facilities, and rehabilitation centers. This provider will work closely with Healnexxt leadership, collaborating physicians, clinical operations, and interdisciplinary care teams to deliver evidence-based, patient-centered wound care designed to optimize healing outcomes and improve quality of life. The ideal candidate is highly experienced in advanced wound care treatments and modalities, clinically confident, adaptable, compassionate, and able to build strong relationships with both patients and facility partners. This position primarily serves patients throughout Polk County and Hillsborough County, Florida, and requires regular travel throughout those territories. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive patient assessments including medical history, physical examination, wound staging, vascular assessment, and treatment planning Develop and implement individualized wound care treatment plans utilizing evidence-based best practices Perform advanced wound care procedures including debridement, infection management, offloading recommendations, and application of advanced wound care products/modalities Utilize sound clinical judgment to identify complications, barriers to healing, and opportunities for intervention Collaborate closely with supervising physicians, facility staff, home health agencies, and interdisciplinary care teams Educate patients, caregivers, and staff on wound prevention, treatment plans, and healing strategies Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant documentation within the EMR Travel throughout Polk County and Hillsborough County to provide mobile patient care in homes, assisted living facilities, skilled nursing facilities, and rehabilitation centers Participate in clinical collaboration meetings, ongoing education, and quality improvement initiatives Stay current on emerging wound care technologies, products, and evidence-based practices Qualifications Active Florida Nurse Practitioner license in good standing Wound Care Certification preferred (WCC, CWON, CWCN, CWS, etc.) Strong wound care background required Advanced knowledge of wound healing principles, infection prevention, pressure injury management, vascular wounds, diabetic wounds, and advanced wound care modalities Experience performing debridement and utilizing advanced wound care products/treatments strongly preferred Excellent critical thinking and clinical decision-making skills Strong communication and relationship-building abilities Ability to work independently while remaining highly collaborative and coachable Compassionate bedside manner with a patient-first mindset Reliable transportation and willingness to travel throughout assigned areas What We Value Grow Boldly Do the Right Thing Always Relentlessly Thorough Humbly Confident Show Up Joyfully Strength Through Vulnerability United in Purpose Benefits Flexible schedule #J-18808-Ljbffr Healnexxt
