Registered Nurse - Behavioral Health

Location: White Hall, AR

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Day shift, 07:00-19:00 with every other weekend required.

Job Description: The Registered Nurse in the Behavioral Health Unit provides direct patient care to both adult and geriatric populations, focusing on crisis stabilization and innovative care strategies. The RN will work within a team-oriented environment to promote the well-being and recovery of patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Behavioral Health Unit.
• Utilize crisis stabilization techniques, including verbal de-escalation and emergency interventions.
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
• Maintain accurate documentation and patient records using Cerner EHR.
• Float between adult and geriatric behavioral health units as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in an acute behavioral health setting.
• Must possess AHA BLS certification.
• Experience with Cerner EHR is a must.
• Handle With Care certification preferred.
