Project Specialist- Network Infrastructure

The Project Specialist is responsible for leading the end-to-end delivery of complex network infrastructure programs across global markets. This role oversees multivendor execution, cross functional alignment, and technical validation for services such as Dark Fiber, Leased Wave, Bulk Fiber, IP Transit, and Collocation. The‑satisfaction targets.Key Responsibilities:Program ManagementLead network infrastructure projects—from planning and design through implementation, testing, and customer acceptance‑scale network infrastructure projects—from planning and design through implementation, testing, and customer acceptanceManage scope, milestones, risks, and dependencies across multiple concurrent programsClient & Stakeholder ManagementServe as the primary customer contact throughout the project lifecycle.Present program plans, set expectations, and ensure client business priorities are accurately translated into execution requirementsVendor & Partner OversightAct as lead vendor manager for all assigned projects, ensuring compliance with SLAs and contractual obligationsTrack performance, address slippage, and escalate issues through vendor leadership when neededCross Functional Team Coordination‑Functional Team CoordinationDrive alignment across internal teams (TPMs, Fiber Network Deployment, Technical Field Assist, etc.) to ensure seamless executionCoordinate all activities required to achieve design readiness, field deployment, testing, and turn‑upRisk & Issue ManagementOwn RAID (Risks, Actions, Issues, Dependencies) management for the entire programIdentify risks early, implement mitigation plans, and escalate critical blockers to protect delivery timelinesGovernance & ReportingLead all program governance touchpoints, including kickoff, weekly status, vendor syncs, and escalation callsProduce concise, data driven dashboards and health reports for internal leadership and clients‑driven dashboards and health reports for internal leadership and clientsTechnical Oversight & AcceptanceOversee technical delivery activities such as cross‑connect facilitation, fiber readiness validation, and test/turn‑up schedulingManage final acceptance with vendors, ensuring all network elements meet technical and performance criteriaProject Closure & DocumentationEnsure accurate acceptance dates, proper documentation, and complete handoff packages for downstream teams (e.g., TPMs)Launch client and vendor satisfaction surveys to confirm delivery quality and identify improvement opportunitiesBasic Qualifications:Minimum of 3 years’ end‑to‑end delivery experience managing network or fiber infrastructure projectsPreferred Qualifications: Data analysis and reporting ability to understand SLA/KPI performance.Experience managing technical or delivery teamsExperience supporting hyperscalers that provide cloud computing, networking, and data storageWorking within telecommunications provisioning, service delivery, OR network deployment environmentExperience leading teams preferably a telecom, network operations, or Service Delivery environment‑oriented, and capable of structured problem solvingExperience delivering infrastructure programs with global vendorsFamiliarity with project management, RAID processes, and network testing workflowHands on exposure to global carrier environments across North America, and/or LATAMPractical knowledge of:IP Transit and PeeringDark Fiber & Wavelength servicesOptical transport technologiesFiber infrastructure and related network equipmentStrong communication skills with the ability to engage clients, leadership teams, and partner organizationsProven ability to work under pressure, manage multiple projects, and operate in fast paced, time-sensitive environmentsHighly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of structured problem solvingCompensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
