Infrastructure Engineer, Level I

We are searching for passionate Infrastructure Engineers to join our team of professionals and support our customers across a variety of environments on multiple technologies. Interconnecting Networks and Data Centers with Managed and Monitored Routing and Switching Enabling Secure Mobility with Wide Scale Wireless Connectivity Securing Teams and Data with Physical and Network Security such as Firewalls, VPNs, Video Surveillance and Access Controls Enhancing Organizational Collaboration and Workflow with Virtual Meeting and Communication Platforms and VoIP with Advanced Emergency Alerting Technologies Responsibilities Represent DataServ in a positive manner to colleagues, customers, and vendors Work and support wired and wireless network infrastructure, routing and switching, telephony, firewall, video surveillance and access control solutions Add and delete users as required on network servers and applications Perform routine and emergency maintenance Analyze, recommend and evaluate new hardware and software products for network compatibilityDevelop, maintain and update a library of technical documentation Assist with staging activities for telephony, wireless, network, and data center installations, and other solutions as needed Participate in customer project meetings Stay current on new developments and techniques in IT Participate on special projects and Technical Assistance Center (TAC) Develop processes, implement effective workflows and embrace best practices Provide redundancy and backup support for other team members All other duties as assigned Desired Qualities Team player Excellent written and verbal communicator Tech savvy Strategic thinker Service oriented Motivated Self‑disciplined Professional Flexible in a fast‑paced environment Works independently with minimal supervision Exhibits strong work ethics Detail oriented Handles demanding situations/timelines Organized Responsible/dependable Willing to receive/provide feedback to improve performance Supportive Strong desire to support and mentor Qualifications Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred or relevant prior work experience Technical certifications and/or training in local and wide area networks and/or communications Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification required within 90 days of employment Obtain additional certifications as required Availability to work nights and weekends as scheduled Must be able to travel to various company and customer sites as required Experience with technology manufacturers (e.g., Cisco, Microsoft, HP, Dell, etc.) preferred Additional Proficiencies Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both collaborative team and customer‑facing environments Deliver exceptional service to internal and external customers High degree of professionalism to appropriately act as a representative of the organization Candidates must successfully pass a drug test and appropriate background checks Benefits Competitive compensation plan including paid holidays, PTO, discretionary bonuses, 401K (with match), medical, dental, vision, life, STD, and LTD benefits along with many other inclusive benefits and perks.
