Role Description The Transportation Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Hollywood, FL. This role involves safely transporting patients to and from medical appointments while ensuring a calm, supportive, and professional experience. Day‑to‑day tasks include planning routes, managing schedules, assisting patients with boarding and exiting vehicles, and maintaining clear communication with dispatch, healthcare providers, and patients. The Transportation Specialist is also responsible for basic vehicle inspections, adherence to safety and regulatory requirements, accurate documentation of trips, and timely reporting of any incidents or concerns. This position requires consistent reliability, attention to detail, and a strong focus on patient‑centered service. Qualifications Strong Customer Service and Communication skills to interact effectively and respectfully with patients, families, and healthcare staff. Transportation Planning and Transportation Management skills to coordinate routes, schedules, and trip logistics efficiently. Analytical Skills to assess situations quickly, solve problems, and make sound decisions related to safety and route adjustments. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and familiarity with local roads and traffic regulations. Ability to assist patients with mobility needs and follow all safety and infection‑control protocols. Reliable, punctual, and able to work full‑time on‑site in Hollywood, FL, including occasional evenings or weekends as needed.
