Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

• Valid Texas Special Education Teacher certification or eligibility for certification
• Demonstrated experience working with elementary-aged students in a life skills program
• Deep understanding of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and the ability to tailor instruction to individual student needs
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Compassionate, patient, and adaptable approach to teaching and collaboration
• Familiarity with behavior intervention strategies is a plus

Responsibilities:

• Deliver instruction focused on core academic, social, and daily living skills to students with varied abilities
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized lesson plans and IEPs
• Collaborate closely with families, general education teachers, and support staff to foster an inclusive, positive classroom environment
