What Your Role Will Entail:

• Conduct extensive patient evaluations, recommend and order necessary tests, and create personalized care plans.
• Diagnose and treat acute, episodic, or chronic illnesses autonomously or in collaboration with fellow physicians, depending on your credentialing.
• Empower patients and families through education on prevention, wellness, and disease management.
• Prescribe medications and design therapeutic interventions within your professional scope.
• Engage in patient follow-up and chronic disease management initiatives.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive and coordinated care.
• Maintain thorough and accurate documentation within electronic medical records (EMR).

Education Requirements:

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP).
• Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.

Essential Certifications:

• Active Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of South Dakota.
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or equivalent specialty certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications, or ability to procure within a 90-day timeframe.
