Systems Engineer Automation

Salary: $90,000 - 135,000 per year Requirements:

  • We require a Bachelors degree plus 6 years of experience in systems engineering and systems programming, or a high school diploma/GED plus 10 years of experience in those areas.
  • We are looking for strong working knowledge of Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager, Intune, Group Policy Management, Windows operating systems, and scripting or automation frameworks.
  • We prefer 5+ years of experience managing desktop operating systems and related infrastructure.
  • We prefer 3+ years of desktop engineering experience in the financial services industry.
  • We prefer hands-on experience with PowerShell or similar scripting tools for automation.
  • We prefer experience building automated workflows, health checks, and remediation capabilities.
  • We prefer 1-3 years working in an Agile delivery environment.
  • We prefer 1-3 years of experience with Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps.
  • We prefer familiarity with the FFIEC Architecture, Infrastructure, and Operations Book and the ability to apply regulatory requirements to technology operations.
Responsibilities:
  • We design and deliver automated desktop management solutions, workflows, and processes that improve efficiency, scalability, and reliability.
  • We create and maintain system documentation, automation runbooks, and reusable frameworks.
  • We identify opportunities to automate manual endpoint management work, including health monitoring, self-healing remediation, provisioning, and compliance enforcement.
  • We build and maintain scripts and tools that streamline operations and improve the user experience.
  • We monitor, maintain, and optimize desktop environments to support availability, performance, security, and compliance.
  • We use automation to proactively detect and resolve issues.
  • We collaborate with internal and external partners and transition supportable solutions to operational teams.
  • We handle escalations and troubleshoot complex system and desktop issues.
  • We provide technical support and training to IT Operations and Support teams, with a focus on automated resolution paths.
  • We contribute to the design, build, testing, deployment, and automation of desktop operating system standards, configuration management, and multi-tier cloud and on-premises solutions.
  • We support peers, department leadership, and business stakeholders in meeting service levels, initiatives, and project deliverables.
  • We work within Agile methods, change management, and risk management practices while promoting an automation-first culture.
  • We serve as a Tier 3 support resource and help reduce recurring issues through automated solutions.
