This role includes participation in an on-call rotation to support patient needs outside of normal business hours. Key Responsibilities:
- Review, verify, and dispense infusion medications accurately and efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal pharmacy regulations.
- Monitor patient medication therapy and provide clinical recommendations as appropriate.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals regarding infusion treatments and medication management.
- Counsel patients and caregivers on medication use, administration techniques, and potential side effects.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Participate in pharmacy quality assurance and medication safety initiatives.
- Assist with inventory management and medication procurement.
- Participate in a rotating on-call schedule.
- Active Pharmacist license in Texas (Arkansas license preferred or ability to obtain).
- Infusion pharmacy experience preferred.
- Strong clinical knowledge and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Long-term care or specialty pharmacy experience is a plus.
