Seasonal Accounting ClerkWe are seeking a Seasonal Accounting Clerk to join our team through February 6, 2027. The Accounting Clerk is a key part of our team – you will assist in processing accounts and outgoing payments in compliance with firm policies and procedures. The Accounting Clerk will perform day-to-day financial transactions including reviewing bills, invoices, and bank deposits. Enjoy a professional and dynamic work environment while making work/life balance a priority.What You Will DoProcess outgoing payments in compliance with financial policies and proceduresPerform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable and other accounting data.Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to ensure that all bills and payments are accounted for and properly posted.Verify and investigate discrepancies, if any, by reconciling vendor accounts and monthly vendor statementsGenerate reports detailing accounts payables status.Excel spreadsheet entry of accounts payable and weekly activity (sales, cash payouts, payroll etc.)Accounts payable statement reconciliation to invoicesPreparation of accounts payable checksAssembly of customer accounting packagesHandle client calls regarding payablesAccounts payable researchReview of payroll for errorsWhat We Look ForProven working experience in Accounting, especially Accounts PayableSolid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principlesProven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records.Strong understanding of expense accounts, cost centers, and compliance issues around accounts payable processes (W-9, sales tax, etc.)Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers, 10-Key proficiency a mustHands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary softwareProficiency in MS OfficeHigh degree of accuracy and attention to detailWhat We OfferOpportunity for advancement within a rapidly growing professional services firm.Ongoing informal and formal training and developmentCompetitive compensation401(k) and medical benefits (hours pending)Firm sponsored continuing education.The expected salary range for this role is $20 - $25 per hour, which represents a good faith and reasonable estimate.
