Massage Therapist - Part - time

Trifecta Proven is recruiting for a Massage Therapist (MT) to provide services at the Oregon Air National Guard in Portland, OR. This opening is part of the Optimizing the Human Weapon System initiative. The MT will be an integral part of the team aiming to reduce the frequency and severity of neck and back pain injuries, reduce duty time lost, improve quality of life, enhance readiness and support fighter aircrew retention. The MT will specifically work to reduce injury rates and increase the rate of fighter aircrew fully mission capable status. 

Hours: Monday thorugh Friday, 20 hours per week between 6:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.

Job Responsibilities

1. Provide initial evaluation. Evaluate and provide prehabilitation for all assigned figher aircrew. 
2. Develop individualized program for each member served. Work as part of a multi-disciplinary group including athletic trainers, strength and conditioning coach and others. Individualized Program shall aim to increase neck and back conditioning and overall health to minimize the risk of neck and back injury.
3. Provide ongoing massage therapy. 
4. Advise unit commanders on matters related to injury prevention. Identify opportunities for improvement.
5. Advise unit commanders of administrative matters, purchasing of supplies and equipment and supplemental fiscal requests related to interventions and professional services provided.
6. Conduct equipment, product, and literature reviews to ensure that the OHWS program continues to improve as our understanding of injury prevention evolves.
7. Communicate with the servicing military treament facility when an aircrew member has a medical condition or injury requiring medical care.
8. Refer fighter aircrew personnel with a new duty-limiting condition to the servicing military treatment facility.
9. Ensure safe and effective operation of equipment and contribute to a safe working environmnet.
10. Attend annual required training in accordance with guiding instructions.
11. Provide Human Performance and Prehabilitive trending metrics report to include: musculoskeletal pain, duration of pain, origin of pain, types of pain, and trends of musculoskeletal pain over periods of time. 

Qualifications

Education: Completion of a Massage Therapy certification program.

Certification: Have and maintain an active, current, unrestricted Massage Therapy license or certification from Hawaii.

Experience: Experience working with professional and/or collegiate athletes or equivalent. A minium of two (2) years expereince is desired.
