Responsibilities: • Inform patients about proper oral health care to prevent infections after dental procedures • Help with administrative duties such as welcoming patients, taking phone calls, making appointments for dental visits, ordering supplies, and handling billing • Write down treatment information after every visit and ensure patient records include current dental histories • Walk patients through a good oral health care regime so they can maintain a healthy smile • Sterilize and lay out dental instruments and get all equipment ready, such as x-ray machines, anesthetics, and impression materials, to prepare treatment rooms for examinations and dental procedures What You'll Do Greet our little patients (and their grown-ups) with warmth and make them feel safe from the second they sit in the chairAssist chairside during exams, cleanings, fillings, and other pediatric procedures, anticipating needs and keeping things moving smoothlyUse "tell-show-do" and other kid-friendly techniques to explain treatment in a way that's fun, not scaryTake digital X-rays and intraoral photosSet up and break down operatories, sterilize instruments, and follow all infection-control protocolsKeep accurate patient records and chart notesManage inventory and help keep our supplies stocked and readyCoach parents on brushing, diet, and home care so those healthy habits stickPitch in wherever the team needs you; we all wear a few hats around here Qualifications: • Have the ability to give patients exceptional care and service • Able to perform basic computer and data entry tasks • Exemplary interpersonal, communication, and multitasking skills • Associate’s degree from an accredited dental assistance program required What We're Looking For 1–2 years of chairside dental assisting experience (pediatric experience is a big plus, but we're happy to help you grow into it)A genuine love for working with children and familiesPatience, energy, and a good sense of humorReliability, a team-first attitude, and great communication. Willing and able to show up on time and ready to work when scheduled.Comfort with digital charting and dental software (Eagle Soft is a bonus) Compensation: $20 - $25 hourly
