What You'll Do As an Independent Living Skills Specialist, you'll work one-on-one with adults in their homes and throughout the community to help them reach their goals and live as independently as possible. You'll: Coach and teach independent living skills based on each person's unique goals and strengths. Partner with individuals to develop personalized, person-centered plans that promote growth and independence. Support healthy living through nutrition, wellness, exercise, and daily routines. Encourage participation in community activities, recreation, volunteering, and relationship building. Assist individuals in exploring employment interests and developing workplace readiness skills. Collaborate with families, support teams, and community partners to provide coordinated services. Track progress, document outcomes, and celebrate achievements along the way. Hiring Requirements Employment is contingent upon successfully completing: Valid California Driver's License (or California ID where applicable) Negative TB test Occupational physical clearance Must be at least 18 years old (or possess appropriate work authorization if applicable) Physical Requirements This position is active and community-based.
