Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13-Week Assignment | Night Shift (5:00 PM – 5:00 AM) | Onsite | 3 shifts one week, 2 shifts the following week | Every other weekend required | On-call requirement of 1 call shift per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) unit with 8 beds
• Manage labor and delivery patients at a 2:1 ratio and couplets (mother/baby) at a 4:1 ratio
• Perform and assist with deliveries and patient recovery
• Conduct newborn testing including CCHD screening, Newborn Metabolic Screening, Bilirubin, and Hearing Screening
• Operate and interpret fetal monitoring equipment
• Float occasionally to other areas of the facility such as ED or Med/Surg as a sitter when needed

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience
• Nursery experience required
• Current ACLS certification
• Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
• Current STABLE certification
• CEFM or AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certification

Preferred Experience / Skills

• C-Section experience strongly preferred
• Experience with Meditech or CPN electronic medical record systems
