Become a Claims Associate at our independent insurance agency and contribute to a collaborative, service-driven team! In this role, you will be a steady, reliable resource helping clients navigate the claims process with confidence while providing timely follow-up and clear communication every step of the way. Your attention to detail and commitment to service will play a key role in client satisfaction and retention.

Responsibilities

• Receive and process new claims for personal and commercial lines clients in-person, online, by phone, and through written communication.
• Guide clients through the claims process by explaining next steps, gathering necessary documentation, and maintaining regular communication.
• Serve as a liaison between clients, carriers, and adjusters.
• Monitor claim activity, follow up on open items, and provide updates to clients and internal team members.
• Maintain accurate and organized claim records within the agency management system.
• Collaborate with account managers and producers to support client retention and overall service excellence..
• Participate in team meetings, training, and ongoing education to stay informed on carrier processes, claims trends, and industry best practices.
  

Qualifications

• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally during potentially stressful situations.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Demonstrate sound judgment, problem-solving abilities, and strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Proficient in technology and computer systems, including agency management systems and carrier portals.
• Insurance and claims handling experience is preferred but not required.

This position is based in our Vincennes, Indiana office.
