Perform computed tomography techniques and examinations
" Conducts a variety of computed tomography (CT) procedures including assisting radiologists with biopsies, cardiac CT, CT Angiograms, and post-processing.
Produce computed tomography scans for diagnostic interpretation
" Operate CT equipment and select technical factors
" Responsible for proper identification on images, including both identification and demographic information 100% of the time.
" Document all related data.
" Provide radiation protection for patients, families, staff, the general public and self.
Other Responsibilities
" Identify, process, transfer and archive patient exams including exam records, images and patient demographics.
" Maintain the integrity and security of the radiology information systems.
" Resolve and escalate complex issues.
" Orient and train fellow staff technologists.
" Develop and deliver training and in-service presentations.
" Subject to on-call status including weekends and holidays.
" Other shifts as assigned
" All other duties as assigned
Minimum of 3 years of experience is required essential, pediatric experience required, EPIC experience required, and Siemens experience required Required Skills & Experience: -Intermediate knowledge of computed tomography imaging. -Intermediate knowledge of picture archiving and communication systems (PACS). -Intermediate knowledge of radiology information systems. -Intermediate knowledge of HIPAA regulations. -Basic proficiency with office software (Microsoft Office) including word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). -Excellent interpersonal skills. -Excellent time management skills. -Strong organizational skills. Preferred Skills & Experience: -N/A
Basic knowledge of computed tomography imaging
Basic knowledge of picture archiving and communication systems (PACS)
Basic knowledge of radiology information systems
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations
