Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

Job TitleHoliday coverage is required; however, any RTO during holidays must remain flexible to accommodate staffing demands. Local rate applies to candidates 50 miles and under. Prefer 4x12s but will also accept candidate for 3x12s. Travel experience highly preferred, may consider no travel if more perm experience.Information Regarding Observation Unit: 10 bed ER overflow ratios 1:6 at night; 1:5 at days. Focus of constant reassessment of readiness of patient for discharge. This unit will be rapidly admitting and discharging patients.First to float floating requirement: will float to other Med Surg units. Weekend requirement: will work every other weekend.Information Regarding the Other Med Surg Units: We all see a good mix of medical patients. Staffing ratio 1:5-6 for nights. Ratios may flex to 8 patients but RN will be paired with LPN for support in these instances. Variety of staff work on this unit and other Med/Surg units (i.e RNs, LPNs, Techs, etc). Other requirements: Must be willing to work with variety of staff (i.e., RN, LPN, Techs etc.) Cannot guarantee/approve block scheduling at this time. Michigan RN License BLS (AHA) Minimum 1+ year required.
