Experienced Machinist

Welding Experience a Plus

We are seeking a skilled, dependable, and safety-focused Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating manual and CNC machine tools and producing high-quality metal components to exact specifications. Experience with MIG, TIG, or Stick welding is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate manual and CNC lathes, mills, drill presses, and other machining equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, specifications, and work orders.
• Fabricate, repair, and modify metal parts and equipment.
• Select appropriate tools, materials, speeds, feeds, and machining processes.
• Measure and inspect completed work using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision instruments.
• Perform MIG, TIG, or Stick welding on steel, stainless steel, and aluminum when needed.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and production issues and recommend repairs or process improvements.
• Maintain machining and welding equipment in safe operating condition.
• Follow company safety procedures and applicable OSHA requirements.
• Keep the work area clean, organized, and production-ready.
• Work independently and collaboratively to meet quality standards and production deadlines.

Qualifications

• Previous professional experience as a machinist is required.
• Experience setting up and operating manual and/or CNC machine tools.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and technical drawings.
• Proficiency with precision measuring and inspection equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Ability to consistently produce accurate work within specified tolerances.
• MIG, TIG, or Stick welding experience is preferred but not required.
• Experience working with steel, stainless steel, and aluminum is a plus.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety, quality, and reliability.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift and handle materials as required.
