Health Technician (Audiology)

US Department of War

Duties

Coordinate and administer microcomputer driven audiometric examinations performed to determine hearing loss.

Review audiograms and make judgments in accordance with standard operating procedures about need for follow-on testing.

Provide regulatory guidance to patients seeking occupational health assistance and forward technical interpretation issues.

Perform mandated calibration checks on equipment and record results.

Assist in completing periodic range surveys to ensure proper use of hearing protection by all troops in the field and to check for proper signage in noise-hazardous areas.
