Program: Mitchells Martial Arts Child Care Center
Schedule: Afternoon / After-School Hours Mitchells Martial Arts Child Care Center is looking for a School-Age Qualified After-School Teacher to join our growing team. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with elementary-aged children in a structured, active, and supportive environment. Responsibilities:
- Supervise and engage school-age children during after-school hours
- Assist with homework and educational activities
- Lead structured play, enrichment activities, and character-building programs
- Maintain a safe, positive, and respectful environment
- Communicate effectively with parents and staff
- Meets Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) requirements for school-age child care
- Growth and Development
- School Age Methods and Materials
- 9 Hour Communitcation Course
- Experience working with school-age children preferred
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- MSDE-approved training and certifications already completed
