Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care to inpatient populations across adult, pediatric, and neonatal units per physician orders
• Manage and monitor ventilation strategies, airway support, and weaning as appropriate
• Interpret arterial blood gases and adjust therapies to optimize patient outcomes
• Administer medications and perform aerosolized therapies; conduct chest therapies and suctioning as needed
• Maintain and troubleshoot respiratory equipment; ensure infection control and device calibration
• Document all patient care in Epic EMR; participate in rounds and coordinate with the multidisciplinary team
• Educate patients and families on therapies, procedures, and equipment usage

Requirements

• Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential; CRT not accepted
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NBRC Verification, NRP
• Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience; teaching hospital experience required; prior travel experience preferred
• Education: Completion of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
• Ability to work in a hospital inpatient setting and adhere to unit protocols
• Must be able to start within the requested timeframe and maintain reliable transportation if required
