Property Accountant

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to support both corporate and property-level accounting within a REIT environment. This role provides broad exposure to financial reporting, SOX compliance, real estate tax accounting, and SEC filings, backed by strong work/life balance and a stable, experienced leadership team. Responsibilities Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close for corporate and property entities Maintain GL, prepare journal entries, and review asset/liability accounts Handle accounting for fixed assets, real estate taxes, and other assigned corporate areas Prepare financial analyses, reconciliations, schedules, and footnotes Assist with quarterly 10-Q reviews and annual 10-K audit processes Coordinate with external SOX/internal audit providers and real estate tax consultants Ensure GAAP compliance and strong internal controls Provide ad hoc reporting and contribute to process improvements Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA or CPA-eligible preferred 3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience Experience with SOX, internal audit, or real estate taxes beneficial Yardi or similar ERP experience preferred Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills Why This Role Stable, well-established public REIT Broad accounting exposure across corporate, property, and SEC reporting #J-18808-Ljbffr
