Join Our Team as a Senior Package Engineering Specialist
Located in the vibrant community of Fort Washington, PA, our company is seeking a dedicated and innovative packaging engineer to join our team. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to work both on-site and remotely, with the possibility of being on-site 5 days a week during critical line trials. Become a part of a dynamic team that collaborates across multiple departments to deliver cutting-edge packaging solutions.
Responsibilities- Lead the design, development, testing, and production scale-up of packaging components and systems.
- Collaborate with R&D, marketing, supply chain, and other departments to address packaging needs.
- Manage regional execution of technical projects, including technology transfers and process improvements.
- Ensure quality and compliance by adhering to GMP training and procedures.
- Plan and execute life cycle management initiatives for packaging.
- Lead complex packaging projects focused on compliance, cost savings, and innovation.
- Develop and coordinate physical testing to ensure product and package integrity.
- Troubleshoot and resolve packaging-related issues in manufacturing and the field.
- Develop packaging guidelines and standards for processes and functional requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Packaging Sciences or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of industry experience, with at least 3 years in package development and packaging equipment.
- Experience within the Consumer, OTC, or Pharmaceutical industry.
- Experience in a highly regulated environment.
- Advanced technical knowledge related to package materials, equipment, testing, and development.
- Experience overseeing complex projects in a matrixed environment.
- GMP experience.
Physical Demands: Office deskwork requiring sitting, walking, using phone & computer. May lift up to 30 lbs occasionally. This role may require up to 25% travel based on business needs.
