Emergency Room Registered Nurse

A hospital in Woodstock, Virginia is seeking an experienced Emergency Room RN with Level II or III experience to join its emergency nursing staff. This is an on-site clinical position within a 17-bed Emergency Department that maintains a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4.

The ER RN will provide direct patient care across the full spectrum of emergency presentations in a fast-paced acute setting. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing triage, conducting thorough patient assessments, delivering timely clinical interventions, and coordinating closely with the broader care team to ensure seamless and effective emergency care delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care across a wide range of emergency presentations
• Perform triage and prioritize patients based on clinical acuity
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and identify evolving clinical needs
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in time-sensitive situations
• Coordinate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to ensure continuity of care
• Maintain accurate and thorough clinical documentation for all patient encounters
• Uphold patient safety standards and follow established emergency department protocols
• Support a collaborative, patient-centered care environment within a 17-bed unit

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of emergency department nursing experience required
