Position Overview Position Title: Daytime Custodian Department: Maintenance Reports to: Director, Maintenance and Custodial Location: Corvallis School District #1 Position Type: Maintenance/Custodial Date Posted: 7/2/2025 Closing Date: Open Until Filled Salary: $15.40 per hour Hours: 6 hours a day, Monday-Friday Summary Performs custodial, light maintenance and repair of all district facilities and grounds as assigned. Normal working hours are Monday-Friday. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Provides for daily lunch table setup/take down at the Primary School. Provides for maintenance and repair as requested via work orders. Provides for snow removal as required for all walkways, entries, and accesses in and around all district buildings. Snow removal will be done before and during school hours in order to avoid interruption and provide safe access to facilities. Responds as needed to emergencies throughout the school day. Performs cleanups, takes care of clogged/flooded restrooms, broken windows/doors, or other conditions requiring immediate attention, on all campuses. Performs other duties as assigned, when Maintenance/Custodial leads are busy. Read, interpret and respond to verbal and written instructions, facility requests, and labels on chemicals and supplies. Notify supervisor of areas that need repair by maintenance staff, including but not limited to electrical, plumbing, and heating issues.
