About the Facility

• 60-Bed Facility
• Level IV Trauma Center
• Stroke Ready Facility
• Located in Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin

Unit Information

• Imaging Department with 2 CT Scanners
• Shared back-to-back control room setup
• Average volume: Approximately 20 scans per shift per technologist
• Minimum Experience Required: 2 years of acute care CT experience
• First-Time Travelers: Not accepted unless candidate has 10 years of CT experience

Patient Population & Common Exams

Patient Types

• Outpatients
• Emergency Department patients
• Inpatients
• Trauma patients
• Pediatric patients (rare; typically toddler and older)
• Predominantly adult patients

Common Procedures

• Stroke Imaging
• Brain CTAs
• CT Perfusions
• Head CTs
• Neck CTs
• Spine CTs
• Abdominal CTs
• Extremity CTs
• Pulmonary Embolism Studies
• Trauma Imaging

Required Certifications & Licensure

• ARRT (CT)
• Wisconsin State License
• BLS

Required Skills

Candidates must have experience with:

• Acute Care CT Imaging
• Stroke Protocols
• Brain CTA Studies
• CT Perfusion Imaging
• Independent Workflow Management
• Emergency and Inpatient CT Procedures

Highly Preferred Experience

• Canon CT Scanners
• Toshiba CT Scanners

Candidates without Canon/Toshiba experience should be submitted for manager review and approval.

Preferred Additional Skills

• IV Starts
• CT Perfusions
• Biopsies
• Special Procedures

Support Within the Department

• 2 CT Technologists on Day Shift
• 1 CT Technologist after 6:30 PM
• Imaging Patient Assistant
  • Patient Transport
  • Room Turnover
  • Supply Stocking
  • Available until 9:00 PM
• Concierge Staff at Imaging Desk
• Radiology Nurse available until 4:00 PM
• Phlebotomy Services
• House Supervisor available for IV support after hours
• Lead CT Technologist on-site during day shift
• Respiratory Therapy available 24/7
• MRI and X-Ray services available 24/7

• Medication Dispensing: Pyxis

  • Canon 80-Slice Scanner
  • Canon 40-Slice Scanner
