The Opportunity

We are looking for a Logistics Recruiter / Talent Acquisition Specialist who can become the engine behind Amnex's continued hiring.

This is not a position where you simply post jobs on Indeed and wait for resumes.

We want someone who can hunt for talent.

You'll identify high-performing logistics professionals, build relationships with people who aren't necessarily looking for a new job, sell them on the opportunity at Amnex, and create a continuous pipeline of people who can help us grow.

Your recruiting focus will include roles such as:

• Freight Sales Executives

• Freight Brokers

• Drayage Operations Specialists

• OTR Operations Specialists

• Carrier Sales Representatives

• Account Managers

• Dispatch and Operations Personnel

• Accounting and Administrative Talent

• Sales Leadership

• Operations Leadership

As the company grows, you'll help us identify talent needs before they become emergencies.

What You'll Do

Hunt for Great People

• Proactively identify experienced logistics professionals through LinkedIn, job boards, industry networks, referrals, competitors, and direct outreach.

• Recruit passive candidates who are not actively applying for jobs.

• Build relationships with high-performing freight professionals across the Chicago market and nationwide.

• Create talent pipelines for positions we expect to hire for repeatedly.

• Develop creative strategies for reaching candidates that traditional job postings don't reach.

Sell the Opportunity

Recruiting is sales.

Great candidates usually have options.

Your job is to understand what motivates them and communicate why Amnex may be a better opportunity.

You'll be expected to:

• Understand Amnex's growth story, culture, compensation structure, and career opportunities.

• Clearly communicate our value proposition to candidates.

• Build excitement around joining a rapidly growing organization.

• Understand what candidates are looking for and determine whether Amnex is genuinely the right fit.

• Keep strong candidates engaged throughout the hiring process.

What Success Looks Like

A successful recruiter at Amnex doesn't measure performance by how many resumes they forward.

We care about quality hires.

You should be able to consistently:

• Identify strong candidates.

• Get difficult-to-reach people on the phone.

• Generate qualified interviews.

• Maintain multiple active candidate pipelines.

• Reduce the time required to fill critical positions.

• Understand which candidates actually fit our culture.

• Build a network of freight professionals we can recruit from as the company grows.

• Recruit people who stay, perform, and contribute.

Who We're Looking For

Ideally, you have:

• 2+ years of recruiting, talent acquisition, staffing, or executive-search experience.

• Experience recruiting within freight brokerage, transportation, logistics, supply chain, trucking, or a similar industry.

• Strong sourcing skills using LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, job boards, databases, and direct outreach.

• Confidence approaching passive candidates.

• Strong phone presence and communication skills.

• The ability to evaluate personality, ambition, communication ability, and cultural fit — not simply read a resume.

• Strong organizational and follow-up skills.

• The ability to manage multiple searches simultaneously.

• A competitive, self-motivated personality.

Experience recruiting freight brokers, logistics salespeople, dispatchers, carrier sales representatives, or transportation operations professionals is highly preferred.

This Role Isn't for Everyone

If your recruiting strategy is primarily posting jobs and reviewing inbound applications, this probably isn't the right role.

We want someone proactive.
