Contract | Rotating Days and Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 13–18 Week Assignments Available

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Medical Surgical / Telemetry setting, with potential to float to additional units serving the same patient population
• Monitor and interpret ECG rhythms and respond appropriately to cardiac changes in patient status
• May be assigned to care for patients on ventilators as unit needs require
• Administer and manage medications safely in accordance with facility protocols, including completion of safeMedicate assessment during orientation
• Participate in rotating holiday coverage, working at least every other holiday
• Maintain compliance with all annual hands-on competency requirements and facility-assigned modules

Required Qualifications

• Active permanent Ohio RN license or compact state license — must be in hand at time of submission; no pending licenses accepted
• Active AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications — must be in hand at time of submission; no pending certifications accepted
• Minimum of 12 months combined permanent experience in Medical Surgical / Telemetry (preferred within one location; combined experience considered)
• Must achieve an acceptable score on both the ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment during orientation (maximum of 2 attempts permitted)
• One professional reference required from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the applicable specialty — must be from an assignment worked within the past 12 months; co-worker references will not be accepted
• Local candidates are welcome and will be considered at the same rate

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience within a single Med/Surg Telemetry location (rather than combined across multiple sites)
• Familiarity with ventilator management and care for ventilator-dependent patients
• Prior travel nursing experience in an acute care hospital environment
