You'll collaborate with engineers, manufacturing teams, quality professionals, and subject matter experts to translate complex technical processes into easy-to-understand learning materials and controlled documentation.In this role, you will:Develop and maintain work instructions, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), process documentation, and training materialsCreate instructional content that supports employee onboarding, skills development, and knowledge retentionDevelop user guides, presentations, job aids, videos, and other learning resources for manufacturing employeesTranslate complex manufacturing processes into clear, user-friendly documentationObserve manufacturing processes to understand workflows and identify opportunities for improved documentation and standardized workInterview subject matter experts to capture best practices and technical knowledgeMaintain document control and ensure documentation remains current, accurate, and accessibleSupport quality management systems by developing and updating controlled documentationAssist with documentation supporting ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 quality management requirementsCollaborate with Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Training teams to improve documentation and employee learningIncorporate photographs, diagrams, flowcharts, and visual aids to improve comprehension and engagementReview and revise documentation to support process improvements, quality initiatives, and operational excellenceHelp standardize documentation practices across departmentsSupport continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve training, quality documentation, and standardized workRequirementsWhat We're Looking ForWe're looking for someone who enjoys helping others succeed through clear communication, organized documentation, and continuous improvement. This position is an excellent fit for professionals with backgrounds in education, training, instructional design, quality assurance, document control, or technical writing.Minimum QualificationsTwo (2) or more years of experience in technical writing, instructional design, curriculum development, quality documentation, document control, training content creation, or process documentationExceptional writing, editing, proofreading, and formatting skillsAbility to simplify technical information into clear, easy-to-follow work instructions and learning materialsExperience creating documentation that supports operational consistency and employee performanceStrong proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OutlookExcellent organizational, analytical, and communication skillsAbility to manage multiple projects and prioritize competing deadlinesStrong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teamsPreferred QualificationsA Bachelor's degree in a related fieldTeaching, instructional design, adult learning, curriculum development, or corporate training experienceExperience with quality control, document control, or Quality Management Systems (QMS)Working knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or other quality management standardsExperience supporting manufacturing, engineering, or industrial operationsExperience creating controlled documents, work instructions, inspection procedures, or quality manualsPortfolio demonstrating instructional materials, technical documentation, quality documentation, or educational contentYour Work ScheduleThis is a full-time, non-exempt position working Monday through Friday.
