Principal Scrum Master

Job Location: 3400 W. Plano Pkwy., Plano, Texas 75075 Duties: Assess the maturity of the Scrum team, providing support and coaching the team to higher levels of maturity at a sustainable pace. Remove impediments and guide the team on how to remove them. Facilitate and lead Agile ceremonies (Daily Standup, Demonstration, Story Point Estimation, Retrospective, Iteration Planning, Backlog Grooming) and foster continuous improvement. Collaborate with team members, but do not act as a manager, lead developer, Project Manager, or Product Owner. Shield the team from outside influences, empower them, and guard quality while monitoring iteration progress. Represent the team to management, disseminate metrics and charts, and work with other Scrum Masters to ensure organizational process improvement. Build and maintain a trusting and safe environment where problems and issues can be raised without fear. Lead and coordinate a Scaled Agile or Agile effort across multiple teams. Provide advice and guidance on Scaled Agile and/or Agile processes and implementation. Move flexibly across initiatives and teams as business needs require. Utilize Generative AI to support migration of automated monitoring scripts from legacy technologies to modern open‑source systems. Utilize Java and related technologies (Maven, Microservices, Kubernetes). Create automation with Elasticsearch, Opensearch, Prometheus, Grafana, and observability tooling. Use and create automation with Jira projects and scrum boards, including Jira automation functions. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems and eight (8) years of progressive, post‑baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a related occupation utilizing Java and related technologies (Maven, Microservices, Kubernetes), creating automation with Elasticsearch, Opensearch, Prometheus, Grafana, observability tooling, and Jira projects and scrum boards with Jira automation capabilities.
