Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Onsite | Day Shift (8s or 10s: 6:00 AM–2:00 PM, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM, or 9:00 AM–5:00 PM) | Rotating weekends required | On-call requirement: 1–2 second calls per scheduling period (24-hour weekend call, 7:00 AM–7:00 AM); 30-minute call response time

Key Responsibilities

• Provide preoperative nursing care to patients in a hospital-based surgical center setting
• Support a high-volume surgical environment handling 55–70 cases per day across 15 suites, including same-day and overnight-stay procedures
• Perform and maintain IV access with proficiency
• Apply surgical care knowledge including familiarity with robotic-assisted procedures
• Float to the OR holding area as needed
• Participate in rotating weekend coverage and on-call scheduling as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license (any licensing history or hits must be disclosed at time of submission)
• Current BLS certification
• Proficient IV skills — required
• Surgical care knowledge, including robotics experience
• Ability to meet a 30-minute on-call response time
• Valid, unexpired driver's license (copy required at time of submission)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Sunrise EMR; EPIC experience a plus (facility transitioning to EPIC)
• Prior experience in a preoperative or ambulatory surgical care environment
