Certified Surgical Technologist (OR) – Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepared operating rooms by ensuring all surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment were sterile and readily available.
• Assisted surgeons during endovascular and other surgical procedures by passing instruments and maintaining the sterile field.
• Performed surgical counts of instruments, sponges, and sharps before, during, and after procedures.
• Prepared and positioned patients for surgery while ensuring safety, comfort, and adherence to aseptic techniques.
• Anticipated the needs of the surgical team to facilitate efficient workflow during procedures.
• Operated and maintained surgical equipment, ensuring functionality and compliance with infection control standards.
• Assisted with specimen collection, labeling, and transport according to facility protocols.
• Cleaned, restocked, and prepared operating rooms for subsequent surgical cases.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent Surgical Technologist experience within the specialty.
• Active AHA BLS certification.
• Active NBSTSA or NCCT Surgical Technologist Certification .
• No local candidates within a 50-mile radius .

• Ability to work 4x10-hour day shifts (6:45 AM–5:15 PM, Monday–Friday) .
