• Monitor docket daily and coordinate with attorneys to ensure deadlines are satisfied in a timely manner
• Coordinate U.S., foreign and PCT filings
• Maintain physical and electronic files
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date follow-ups for each matter on your docket
• Correspond directly with clients and foreign associates regarding a wide variety of subjects including, but not limited to, due dates, annuities, instructions, drafts, filing documents, etc.
• Update and maintain client databases
• Support various attorneys with legal and non-legal matters
• Collaborate with other paralegals in times of high volume workload and/or absence
• Capture billable time for firm’s timekeeping system
• Maintain current knowledge of USPTO, PCT and international patent laws and practices as well as client-based procedures
• Maintain current knowledge of software applications including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office, CPI, Visio, Cute PDF Professional and Clio
• Ensure integrity of docketing department records
• Proofread and prepare formal documents for filing
• Prepare reports for clients, as requested
• Support special projects as needed
