Position Description The Department of Pediatrics at the University of California, San Francisco, and UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospitals are recruiting candidates for appointment within the Specialist Series. Appointees in the Specialist Series will be expected to engage in specialized research and professional activities and do not have teaching responsibilities. Specialists are expected to use their professional expertise to make scientific and scholarly contributions and may participate in University and Public Service. Screening of applicants will begin immediately and will continue as needed throughout the recruitment period. Salary and rank are commensurate with the applicant's experience and training. Required Qualifications Junior rank: Baccalaureate degree (or equivalent) or at least four years of research experience. Assistant rank: Master’s degree (or equivalent) or a baccalaureate degree with at least three years of research experience in the relevant specialization. Associate rank: Master’s degree (or equivalent) or five to ten years of experience in the relevant specialization. Full rank: Terminal degree (or equivalent) or ten or more years of experience in the relevant specialization.
