Overview Our Ambulatory Specialties clinic is looking for a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) who is a great team player, patient‑centered, and enthusiastic about women’s health. The position requires five 8‑hour shifts per week with occasional floating to other departments at OBT. Employment Type Full time Shift Day Shift. Five 8‑hour shifts per week. Occasional floating to other departments at OBT. Responsibilities Certified Medical Assistants provide direct patient care and support physicians during entire visits. Responsibilities include registration, scheduling, physician‑patient communication, history taking, assisting with routine tasks and procedures, telephone messaging, follow‑up orders, and medication administration. The role requires working under physician supervision or a registered nurse when additional assessment is needed, and collaborating with other health‑care professionals and ancillary services. Actual compensation may vary based on experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparison to colleagues in similar roles. Requirements High School Diploma plus training obtained through work experience or education. Successful completion of an accredited medical assistant program. Must possess at least one of the following medical assistant credentials within six months of hire: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) American Medical Technologists (AMT) National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) National Healthcareer Association (NHA) CPR/BLS certification by the American Heart Association upon hire. Minimum experience: 1–2 years of previous job‑related experience. Ambulatory experience in a primary or specialty setting is preferred.
