Travel Radiation Therapist

American Traveler seeks a Radiation Therapist I for a 13-week days assignment requiring ARRT/ARDMS/CCI eligibility and at least one year of experience. Requirements Associate's degree or higher required Graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited program with a cardiovascular specialty emphasis, or a JRCERT-accredited program with a radiologic technology emphasis AHA BLS certification required Must meet ARDMS, ARRT, or CCI eligibility standards for the applicable cardiovascular or radiologic technology specialty, to be achieved within 12 months of hire License required if applicable Minimum of one year of experience required Entry-level knowledge of cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology principles, medical imaging, and patient positioning Ability to work under general supervision with attention to detail and minimal errors Strong communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and multidisciplinary care teams Responsibilities Hospital-based Radiation Therapy department Serves adult and/or pediatric patient populations Care delivered across acute inpatient, outpatient, diagnostic/urgent care, and remote outreach clinic settings Days shift schedule, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week, 5 days per week 13-week assignment length Works under the supervision of a mentor/preceptor to build entry-level competencies in cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology Prepares patients for procedures and correlates clinical history with ordered studies Performs diagnostic, interventional, and/or surgical procedures using specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic equipment Conducts post-procedure reviews to confirm documentation and technical quality meet department protocols Transfers images and data to archival systems and prepares studies for physician reporting Performs operator-level quality control checks and equipment maintenance per manufacturer guidelinesParticipates in ongoing continuing education and professional development Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be considered Compliance documentation, including background checks and drug screenings, must begin immediately upon offer due to strict facility deadlines Travelers must be able to start at least 4 weeks from the time of offer Returning travelers may extend contracts once for a total of 26 weeks, after which a 6-month separation is required before reapplying Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts Job ID: P-740346 Open Positions: 1 #J-18808-Ljbffr
