A Boutique Personal Injury Firm is looking for an excellent litigator to move cases from complaint to conclusion. We have a great foundation of business at 20 years and staff with many over 10 years together. We keep it simple: great people doing great work. We are kind, competitive and down-to-earth.

Legal tasks:

• Research and writing all motions and response and replies, including motions for summary judgment, motions to dismiss, any other motions
• Arguing motions, responses before the court
• Computer-based work
• Drafting initial complaints and discovery
• Written discovery work including responses to discovery, discovery to opposing parties, and motions to compel
• Researching motions in limine, objections, evidence and preparing trial briefing as necessary
• Drafting other trial-related documents like jury instructions
• Researching and preparing any post-trial or appellate issue, advising on post-trial or appellate issues before trial

Management tasks:

• Monitor reporting for timely completion of tasks by paralegals
• Monitor reporting for timely completion of tasks by attorneys
• Monitor reporting for “in system” case management metrics
• Assist in decision to move certain cases to “out of system” case management
• Assist in deciding on metrics/goals for individual cases that move “out of system”
• Monitor cases that are “out of system” to ensure they are progressing on “out of system” track per agreed upon metrics/goals
• Monitor caseload for paralegals & self.
