TMA- Trained Medication Aide

Job Overview We are seeking a Medication Aide to support residents in our Skilled Nursing Facility in Minneapolis, MN. This role is responsible for providing senior resident care and services, including administration of medications, under the direction of the nurse. Responsibilities Assist residents with personal cares based on individual plan of care Observe residents and report status to appropriate staff in a clear, concise manner Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges as needed Follow shift routines regarding measuring vital signs, weights, and administration of medications and treatments Dispense medications using the correct route, medication, resident time, and dose Maintain awareness of actual and potential side effects, adverse reactions, contraindications and purposes of medications Maintain a clean medication cart Required Qualifications Nursing Assistant Course Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry Completion of a standardized medication administration training program for unlicensed personnel in nursing homes offered through a Minnesota postsecondary educational institution. This does not expire as long as NAR certification is current.
