The Arc of Chemung-Schuyler is looking for a CDL Bus Driver to provide safe, reliable transportation for our community. As one of the most visible representatives of our organization, you'll play an important role in creating positive experiences for our passengers every day.If you're an experienced CDL driver, we encourage you to apply!What You'll DoSafely transport passengers to and from designated locations.Operate assigned vehicles in accordance with all traffic laws and agency policies.Assist passengers as needed, ensuring their comfort and safety.Follow all safety procedures and utilize required safety equipment.Complete and maintain accurate records of:MileageFuel consumptionPassenger ridership totalsReport maintenance concerns to the mechanic and Transportation Manager.Report accidents, incidents, or traffic infractions immediately and complete all required documentation.Adhere to all transportation policies, procedures, and driver's manual requirements.Perform other duties as assigned.What We're Looking ForRequired QualificationsAt least 21 years of ageHigh School Diploma or GEDValid New York State CDL License w/passenger endorementSafe driving record with a minimum of 3 years of responsible driving historyAbility to meet all NYS Department of Motor Vehicles Article 19-A requirementsPreferred QualitiesProfessional, courteous, and service-oriented attitudeStrong commitment to passenger safetyDependable and punctualFlexible with scheduling, including occasional hours outside a normal work schedulePositive representative of The Arc of Chemung-Schuyler in the communityPhysical RequirementsAbility to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, hear, and communicate effectively throughout the workdayAbility to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environmentAbility to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 poundsWhy Join The Arc of Chemung-Schuyler?At The Arc of Chemung-Schuyler, our employees help improve lives every day.
