Facility Maintenance Technician III

Job Title: Maintenance Technician III Department: Maintenance Reports To: Maintenance Supervisor Summary Performs general maintenance duties, as assigned and/or dependingon experience/competence, under guidance of preventive maintenance and workorders. Occasionally, oversees and mentors the activities of a MaintenanceLaborer. Supervisory Responsibilities This job has nosupervisory responsibilities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Reads and interprets blueprints andschematics. Documents and keeps records of assignedmaintenance functions. Adheres to all company safety policies, procedures andresponsibilities concerning accident prevention including reporting any safetyconcerns to a supervisor immediately. General maintenance Performs maintenance and repairs on major system breakdowns,diagnosing problem(s). Performs preventive maintenance to keep locks and locking devicesin functional and safe operating condition. Installs and/or repairs carpet and vinyl flooring. Electrical Repairs, replaces and performs preventivemaintenance on all motors, panels and electrical equipment. Replaces burned out light bulbs, checks electrical circuits,repairs dimmers, refrigeration controls and contacts. Carpentry/Drywall/Painting Responsible for all preparation necessary to ensure properapplication of paints, varnishes, sealers and rust-proofing. Repairs furniture, doors, windows, slot machine stands, gamblingtables and millwork. Fabricates office partitions, doors, counters, panel walls, and ceilings. Plumbing Installs, connects, and tests sanitary plumbing fixtures, firesprinklers, hydraulics, refrigeration, various gas, steam and other pressuresystems. HVAC Handles regular preventive maintenance of all HVAC andrefrigeration equipment. Operates Energy Management systems. Ensures safe, efficient operation of all equipment relevant toboilers, chillers, pumps, life safety equipment, air handlers and emergencygenerators. Kitchen Equipment Responsible for the repair and maintenanceof all industrial kitchen equipment. Education and/or Experience Mustpossess a high school diploma or general education degree (GED). Must have avalid Arizona Drivers license and must meet MVR requirements to be authorizedto operate a company vehicle. Journeymanin 1 or more trades with 5 or more years work experience required; and/orequivalent combination of education and experience. Certificate or vocationaleducation diploma required. EPAUniversal Tech certification; certificate or license as a refrigerationtechnician; five (5) years’ experience in low temp repair and maintenance; five(5) years field experience in ice machine repair and maintenance; five (5)years experience in electrical control troubleshooting and repair; generalworking knowledgeof chiller/cooling tower AC systems. Other Qualifications Mustbe able to work harmoniously with co-workers and develop teamwork. Must presenta well-groomed appearance. Language Skills Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
