Registered Nurse - PICU

Job Summary:
Provide skilled nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver complex treatments and ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Administer and monitor ventilator support, medication infusions, and advanced respiratory therapies.
• Perform invasive procedures such as central line placements, chest tube management, and intubations.
• Assess patient status continually, document findings accurately in EMR, and escalate issues promptly.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Educate families on care procedures, medical equipment, and patient progress.
• Maintain compliance with unit policies, safety protocols, and infection control standards.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Registered Nurse license.
• Possess ICU or PICU experience, with specific skills in intubated/ventilated patient care.
• Demonstrate proficiency with critical care equipment such as vents, drips, and syringe pumps.
• Prefer candidates with ECMO and CRRT experience.
• Show flexibility, strong communication skills, and a positive attitude.
