As an Armed Security Officer at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a secure environment for personnel and visitors. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeWed10:00 PM - 06:00 AMThur10:00 PM - 06:00 AMFri10:00 PM - 06:00 AMSat10:00 PM - 06:00 AMSun10:00 PM - 06:00 AM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and authorized contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government location. Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns. Monitor access control points, verify credentials as required, and report suspicious activity, policy violations, and unauthorized access attempts. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders. Prepare accurate reports and maintain required documentation for patrol activities, incidents, and security-related observations. Minimum Requirements: Possess a concealed carry weapons permit. Have at least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience. Be at least 21 years of age. A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
