Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Critical Care Float Duration: 12 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:00) Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Valid nursing license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: ICU experience required. Flexibility to float throughout various departments as needed. Experience with patient ratio of 2-3. Charting system experience required. Description: This position is for hospital float pool staff. The role requires floating throughout the hospital, including various departments. Patient ratios can be up to 1:6 in Med-Surg. Travelers are expected to work every other weekend. No call is required for this position. Travelers should be flexible with scheduling, as block schedule requests cannot be accommodated. If one major holiday occurs during the assignment period, the traveler must work it. Travelers are expected to work two holidays if two major holidays fall within the assignment period. If three major holidays occur, two must be worked. Full compliance is required to start on time. If not compliant, there may be a delay in the start date. Compliance documents must be completed within the specified timelines. All required documentation should be finalized at the time of submission. Compliance items include core items and labs completed within a set timeframe. Modules during orientation are non-billable and vary by specialty. Travelers with prior experience should ensure their profiles reflect their previous roles.
