IV Certified Pharmacy Technician in Woodbridge, VA

An opportunity is available for an experienced Pharmacy Technician skilled in sterile compounding and infusion services, supporting a specialty pharmacy environment. This role entails a hybrid workflow blending patient care coordination with hands-on pharmacy operations, ensuring comprehensive support across specialty and infusion pharmacy services.

Responsibilities:

• Patient Care Coordination (50-70%)
  
  
  • Process patient referrals and intake documentation
  • Verify insurance benefits and eligibility
  • Assist with prior authorizations and payer communication
  • Coordinate therapy initiation and medication delivery
  • Communicate effectively with providers, patients, and clinical staff
  • Maintain accurate patient records and track therapy progress
• Pharmacy Operations & Clean Room Support (30-50%)
  
  
  • Assist with prescription processing and dispensing
  • Support sterile compounding preparation in compliance with USP standards
  • Manage inventory and medication preparation
  • Collaborate with pharmacists to ensure accuracy in order fulfillment

Qualifications:

• Active Pharmacy Technician registration or license (Virginia preferred)
• PTCB certification strongly preferred
• Experience within specialty pharmacy, infusion pharmacy, or hospital settings highly desirable
• Prior authorization and insurance processing experience preferred
• Proven expertise in sterile compounding and clean room practices
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Availability to start immediately
