Assistant General Manager

The Assistant General Manager (AGM) contributes to the success of our company by overseeing food production, guest service, team member performance, restaurant cleanliness, and administrative duties of the restaurant. The AGM works shifts opposite those of the General Manager and is responsible for restaurant operations during the GM's off-time. Together with the General Manager, the AGM is involved in the development, performance monitoring, and discipline of team members.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Guest Experience

• Oversee production of quality food and beverage served by a service-focused team; maintain maximum sales and guest satisfaction.
• Conduct line checks, bi-weekly PPQCs, and prep sheets; expedite the pass bar and coach team members on food quality, plating, and ticket times.
• Set up shifts with FOH logs, station assignments, and pre-shift meetings; work the floor during peak hours and personally connect with guests.
• Resolve guest complaints, log feedback, and assist in interviewing and selecting new team members.

Team Management & Development

• Lead a team of approximately 20 or more team members; ensure complete training on all company programs.
• Evaluate performance, write and present reviews, and provide daily coaching and praise.
• Ensure a safe, harassment-free work environment and uphold company policies and compliance standards.

Sanitation, Cleanliness & Financial Management

• Conduct safety orientations, food safety training, and FOH/BOH checks each shift.
• Manage labor and food cost using company scheduling and inventory tools; contribute to the restaurant's controllable budget.
• Complete shift/day close duties, banking procedures, and delegated administrative tasks in a timely manner.

Communication

• Attend weekly manager meetings, conduct 1-minute team meetings, and keep the General Manager informed of restaurant concerns.

Compensation

• $58,000 - $59,000/year
• Quarterly performance bonuses based on defined benchmarks

Requirements

• 1-2+ years of restaurant management experience
• Knowledge of restaurant software: scheduling, inventory, POS
• Extensive Microsoft Office knowledge and proficiency
• ServSafe Manager Certification (preferred)
• TIPS (Training for Intervention ProcedureS) Alcohol Certification (preferred)
• Willingness to travel locally between store locations
• Ability to work approximately 50 hours per week (10 hours daily), including standing and walking for most of each shift
• Able to read, write, and communicate in English well
• Possess basic math skills to calculate budgets, payroll, balance the till, and complete banking duties
• Able to drive and hold a valid state driver's license

Salary Description


$58,000 - $59,000/year
