Assistant General Manager

Join Fonda Fina Hospitality as we bring Alteño, the first out of state venture from Michelin-starred Chef Johnny Curiel, to Charleston this Fall of 2026. We're seeking a dedicated Assistant General Manager to help lead the opening and day-to-day operations of this landmark restaurant. This is a rare opportunity to be part of a high-profile launch from a respected Denver-based hospitality group, setting the tone for excellence from day one.

Alteño, whose flagship in Denver, CO received a Michelin Recommendation in 2025, represents the first out-of-state expansion for Denver based Fonda Fina Hospitality, bringing Chef Johnny Curiel's innovative culinary vision and elevated dining experience to the Charleston market. You'll be instrumental in establishing the restaurant's culture, standards, and reputation during this pivotal opening phase.

Your Role: As General Manager and Assistant Manager, you will:

• Lead pre-opening preparations, including staff recruitment, training, and systems implementation
• Oversee daily front-of-house and back-of-house operations
• Manage guest relations, service standards, and operational consistency
• Collaborate with Chef Curiel and the culinary team to ensure brand alignment
• Handle scheduling, inventory management, and cost control
• Foster a positive team culture that reflects our commitment to hospitality excellence
• Address guest concerns and maintain service quality standards
